How It Began
In 2017, Aditya and Atul met at an education institute in New Delhi that prepared high school students for admission to top engineering and medical universities. Aditya had joined after four years in core design engineering; Atul was a fresh graduate of IIT Delhi.
By October 2017, Aditya had an idea: take quality education global by moving teaching from offline to online. In his off hours, he began experimenting, recording videos, testing software, buying equipment, and building a website. He started pitching this new model to reputed schools. In April 2018, he shared six months of work with his colleague Atul, who was convinced enough to come on board. Together, they kept recording videos and pitching schools after office hours.
Many schools showed interest and invited them to demo, but interest never quite turned into belief that online education can be a reality. A good part of Aditya’s personal savings went into the experiment, and by the end of 2018, it looked like it hadn’t worked.
Then, in January 2019, they got their first students, from the USA and Oman. That was the real beginning.
The feedback was strong enough that Aditya left his job the following month to work on Masterclass Space full-time, building content and improving the website while Atul continued to help from the sidelines. More students joined, and in April 2019, the company was registered in India as Masterclass Space LLP. By the time Covid reached the world in March 2020, students from seven countries were already enrolled, and scoring impressively on the SAT. Covid, in the end, proved to be a blessing in disguise: it showed the world that online education could truly work.
The pandemic gave Masterclass Space real momentum. In July 2022, Atul left his job to join full-time. With strong traction building across Southeast Asia, the two decided to go global, registering Masterclass Space Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in October 2022. What began as test prep grew into full admissions consulting.
Today, Masterclass Space Pte. Ltd. serves students worldwide across consulting and test prep for top global universities, while Masterclass Space LLP continues to serve students in India for Indian universities.
As results poured in, with students making their way into Ivy League and other elite universities, investors took notice. But Aditya and Atul chose a different path: grow organically, and never compromise on quality. They turned down outside funding to remain fully bootstrapped.

Today, Masterclass Space has a student base across 25+ countries, with many now studying at some of the world’s top-ranked universities.
Our Leadership
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Masterclass Space
Aditya Shanker Raghuwanshi belongs to a rare category of educators – an engineer by training, a classical musician by calling, and an entrepreneur by conviction. He graduated from BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Physics.
Chief Operating Officer
Atul Verma is a highly qualified and experienced educator, dedicated to helping students achieve their academic and career goals through effective learning and mentorship. A graduate in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology from IIT Delhi, Atul has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring students for the past 12 years.
